More Than a Finish
Why Cerakote
01
Corrosion & Rust Protection
Sweat, humidity, holster wear, and the elements take their toll on bare metal. Cerakote seals your firearm against moisture and corrosion so it holds up to real-world carry and storage.
02
Built to Take a Beating
Cerakote is a ceramic-based coating known for its abrasion and wear resistance. It stands up to holster draw, range time, and hard use far better than bare or factory finishes.
03
Heat Tolerance
Our high-temp capability handles serious heat without discoloring or breaking down — which is exactly why it works on everything from suppressors to automotive applications.

Make It Yours
Solid colors, two-tones, multicam, kryptek, battleworn, custom stencils — your firearm should look like it belongs to you. We bring the finish; you bring the vision.

Pickup Day Is an Event
Anybody can coat a slide. We're a working private range — so when your firearm is ready, you don't just grab it and drive home. You load up and put rounds downrange the same day. Coat it. Shoot it. That's the Downtown Tactical difference.

Why Trust Us With Your Firearm
Factory-Certified. Done Right.
Your firearm is an investment, and handing it to someone to coat takes trust. Our application is factory-certified, and we treat every project — from a budget slide to a full custom build — with the same attention to prep, coverage, and cure.
Every firearm is fully disassembled, prepped, coated, cured, reassembled, and put through a complete function and safety inspection before it goes back in your hands. We do it on a private range in Long Lane, Missouri — not a back room behind a retail counter.

Questions
Before You Drop It Off
How much does it cost?
We publish our pricing — no callback or quote runaround for standard work. Download our full price list to see exactly what your project costs before you ever drop it off. Full custom builds are quoted per project.
Do I need to disassemble my firearm first?
We offer full disassembly and reassembly as a service, including a complete function and safety inspection on reassembly. Pricing for both is on the price list. Firearms must arrive clean — dirt and grit contaminate our degreasing process.
Can you match a specific color or pattern?
In most cases, yes. Solid colors, two-tones, multicam, kryptek, battleworn, and custom stencils are all on the table. Bring us your idea and we'll tell you what's possible and what it'll run.
